Canned Food Drive
We will be collecting canned food and non-perishables for the Salvation Army in the barrels inside the main lobby. Please bring our donations before Friday, December 6. Together, we can make a difference for hungry families in our community!
Ms. Neil has received a grant through the American Heart Association in partnership with Quintiles for a school garden. The grant provides the materials for every grade level to have their own garden plot. We are in the process of forming a committee to establish a timeline for a school wide plant day and harvest day. Please call or email Ms. Neil (919) 560-2695 ext 69119 if you are interested in serving on the committee or volunteering your gardening expertise.
Sports Skills Development classes pave the way for a lifetime of positive sports experiences by offering a solid grounding in the skills, rules, and strategies of team sports. This class will involve drills and simulated games for soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Through fun activities, your child will practice his/her skills and gain an understanding of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness. For more information, click HERE.

Healthy Schools Award
The Healthy Schools Program works to create healthier school environments by promoting physical activity and healthy eating across the school--in classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds, and gym. Our school applied for the Bronze Level Award in April 2013 and received the award by meeting various criterion. Ms. Neil will be receiving the award on September 30 for the school.
